The Australian Experiential Learning Centre (AELC) partners with Corporate, SME and Government Agencies to provide professional internship placements for students in their final year and/or during their post-graduate study.

At AELC, we look at internships and cadetships as a way to build foundations for tomorrow’s workforce, create a pipeline of highly talented students for organisations and foster relationships between higher education and employers. It is our strong belief that all organisations can benefit from an effectively planned and properly structured internship program, regardless of the organisation size or industry.

Some of the key benefits to taking Interns include:

  • Our Interns are highly motivated and will be eager to improve their skills and gain valuable experience and thereby will contribute to your goals with enthusiasm.
  • You’ll be able to expand your workforce for special projects or short-term assignments, without taking on a long-term commitment.
  • An overall benefit to your organisation is the constructive analysis and consultancy that you get on an ‘expenses only’ basis.
  • These talented interns can provide analysis and ideas for business projects when internal resources are stretched.
  • New ideas – these interns are clever and being new to an organisation can often provide a fresh perspective. This is a clever mechanism for your organisation to capture new impressions and translate that into useful ideas.
  • Helps with developing more efficient processes. If you take in interns as a strategy, business units become more efficient and more capable of bringing in new staff and handing over when they leave making your company more flexible to change.
  • An intern may assist you to gain insight into different and international business approaches and linguistic and cultural knowledge.
  • Develops staff to enable them to mentor and therefore lead other to more effective outcomes. The more you do this the easier it becomes.
  • Provides a highly reliable recruitment method at low or no cost to the organisation.
